We know. We know.
You just voted for us at the Webby Awards. And now we are back asking you to vote again. But hear us out, because this one is different and we think it is worth two minutes of your time to understand why.

The Webby Awards and the Telly Awards are two completely separate honours. Where the Webbys recognise excellence on the internet, the Telly Awards have been honouring outstanding video and film content since 1979. They are one of the most respected awards in the film and video industry and being shortlisted is a significant recognition in its own right.

This year, Thoughts Become Things has been shortlisted in the People’s Telly, Film and Shorts category. This is decided entirely by public vote and voting is open until April 17th, 2026.

And yes, that is one day after the Webby People’s Voice Award voting closes on April 16th. We did not plan it that way. The ancestors clearly have a sense of humour.

In the same week, a six minute poetry film made entirely in Bermuda by Bermudians has been recognised at two of the most respected awards in the digital and film world. That is not something we take lightly and it is not something that happens by accident. It happens because of the quality of the work, the culture behind it, and the community that has supported it every step of the way. That community is you.

We promise this is the last time we will ask you to do anything this week. One vote. Free to cast. Takes thirty seconds. And this time we want to add something a little different to the ask.

While you are on the Telly Awards voting page, take a look at the other films in the category. There is genuinely great work being recognised and we are proud to be in that company. This is bigger than just our film. This is about short film as an art form getting the recognition it deserves.

Thank you for riding with us. We could not do any of this without you.
