Good Day All,

Our premiere screening of “Thoughts Become Things” at Speciality Cinema on Monday, May 20, 2024, was a success! Big thanks to everyone who came out to support this film and all of our sponsors! Also, a big thank you to Speciality Cinema and J-Roc Communications for ensuring everything played smoothly in the theater that evening.

Over the next few months, we will be submitting the film to various film festivals around the world before releasing the full film online. Keep checking here: sjdworld.com/thoughts for updates and more, including our Film Map for an overview of this project and its current trajectory.

We are happy to announce our newest team member, Rayven Walker. Over the past six months, Rayven has been working with us part-time behind the scenes, supporting our website clients and helping us improve our internal processes. In August, we are excited to have Rayven with us full-time!

TMQ is bringing back “Jazz in the Park” for its second edition, celebrating Juneteenth on Sunday June 23rd at Barr’s Park from 4pm-7pm. Entry is free and we are encouraging everyone to grab your chair and blanket, come out, and enjoy the vibes. This edition will be extra special because our very own Stephan Johnstone will be hosting the event and sharing history and poetry over the smooth sounds of jazz.

We would like to take a moment and congratulate Ayana Ming Bean for graduating from Cambrian College of Applied Arts and Technology. Ayana earned an advanced diploma in power engineering technology.

Between 2016 and 2019, Ayana worked in the studio with us in an administrative role (aka gatekeeper). In 2020, she was awarded a scholarship to Cambrian College’s engineering program and left the island to follow a new career path.

While studying at Cambrian, she released her first coloring book, which we featured in our  2022 Summer newsletter.  We are so proud of Ayana and wish her continued success! We are here rooting for you!

Congratulations Dr. David ‘Roots’ Chapman of King Alpha Productions on his release of his newest book “The Way of theWarrior”, which provides great insight into the history of the Bermuda Gombey.

Dr. Chapman is one of the sponsors for our short film “Thoughts Become Things”. Thank you Dr. Chapman, and we wish you all the best with your new book.
